Sunshine Coast Lightning, an elite Australian netball team competing in the Suncorp Super Netball league, has engaged VLAST, a global talent management and activation platform, to automate and simplify their players’ commercial activities.
The agreement sees Sunshine Coast Lightning leverage VLAST’s platform and technology to manage all aspects of their player activations and ultimately deliver better reporting, automated reporting and huge efficiencies.
Tyler Kerr, Partnerships Manager at Sunshine Coast Lightning said, “Sunshine Coast Lightning has engaged VLAST over the past months and will be continuing the relationship after the platform delivered outstanding results for the Club.”
“Prior to VLAST we would manually text / call players with details on sponsorship and contract-related engagements off the court. We have seen a massive transformation from an administration perspective as we automate and simplify that process. Ultimately, reducing time and room for errors. Both staff and players are thrilled with the ease of having everything in one system,” added Kerr.
Nick Smith, Global Head of Customer Success said he was thrilled to see the results and success stories coming out of the Sunshine Coast Lightning headquarters. “Sunshine Coast Lightning is certainly transforming the way players can fulfil their sponsorship and general contractual obligations off the courts. We look forward to continuing this outcome-driven relationship with Sunshine Coast Lightning and partnering for future, technology-led success for both their players and association respectively,” added Smith.
VLAST’s partnership with Sunshine Coast Lightning is off the back of major deals being made around the world with sporting rights owners including Harlequins in the UK, the AFL and Cricket Australia in Australia and the NFL in the US.
